Film about a European Missionary Priest in South America STILL UNSOLVED
The film was probably made in the 50s or 60s maybe early 70s as I watched it when I was young when I saw it c70s At the beginning of the film this priest arrives the village on a donkey. The priest seeing the poverty of his congregation decides to sell the diamond and golden encrusted statue of Mary in the church to give the proceeds to his poor congregation without informing them where the money was coming from He later confesses and offers to leave but as he meant well they persuaded him to stay
