I don't see Hollywood circa 2024 having the balls to make a Power Girl movie. I imagine some cockwombles would complain about it being 'male-gazey'. If they ever did introduce the character I bet they'd change her costume and hire a flat chested woman to play her, to make a statement. Heck they might even hire a Lizzo. In the name of diversity and modern audiences. WARNING - Viewer discretion is advised; https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/02/02/00/67228757-11703445-Superhero_It_s_been_a_thrilling_day_for_the_star_who_released_a_-a-60_1675298107819.jpg You'll never guess who the internet is fan casting; https://i.postimg.cc/bY2d5YfJ/GH7v-I-wa4-AAl-GJj.png https://i.postimg.cc/SN6RyZsb/s2wneg0yuedc1.jpg I did a rewatch of the entire franchise (except for Rob Zombie's Halloween II from 2009) about a year and a half ago. 1, 2 & 4 are one's I'm happy to rewatch multiple times a year. Great movies. 3 is good. It's own thing but it's a fun Carpenter-esque sci-fi horror movie. Tonnes of Halloween atmosphere. I check it out once a year during October. 5 was okay. I'll probably watch it once every 4-5 years. 6 is a bit of a mess. Not one I'll be rewatching any time soon. 7 is pretty good, a bit safe and vanilla but a solid movie. One I'll watch every 2-3 years. 8 is silly. I won't revisit it for a long time. Rob Zombie's remake is okay. No match for the original three Myers movies but I like it more than 5, 6 & 8. One I'll watch every 3 or so years. I probably should given RZ's Halloween II another shot. I saw it when it came out and didn't like it at all. I've never rewatched it. DGG's 2018 movie is pretty good. One I'll rewatch every 2-3 years. Halloween Kills is a bit of a mess. It's one I might check out every 5 years. Halloween Ends is an abomination! If I ever decide to rewatch it I'll instantly regret it I'm sure. I wonder what her ethnicity is. She plays a Mexican-American in F13: Part III but her surname is French;
The surname Labelle was first used as a surname by the people of ancient French region of Gascogne. It was a name for a person distinguished by great physical beauty. Interestingly, the name Labelle was originally derived from the French words, "la belle," which means, " the beautiful."
How appropriate! I saw a 23&Me article on the surname;
White - 93.14% Hispanic - 2.02% American Indian and Alaskan Native - 2.19% Two or More Races - 1.36% Asian/Pacific Islander - 0.63% Black - 0.68% The most commonly-observed ancestry found in people with the surname Labelle is British & Irish, which comprises 40.8% of all ancestry found in people with the surname. The next two most common ancestries are French & German (29.9%) and Italian (6.5%).
https://discover.23andme.com/last-name/Labelle I know Florida has a decent Hispanic population so I guess she could be mixed race... or they just cast a White woman as a Mexican, this was the 80s after all, none of your modern race sensitivity; https://i.postimg.cc/hGGrBQKT/8u-M3d-Duyj-Mi-Jatx2-Dmha-UDJGLCp.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/9X9BChH8/s-l1600.webp https://i.postimg.cc/7YynLWxx/s-l1600ss.webp I'm a fair bit younger than you pal but I saw Halloween on television here in the UK on halloween night back when I was 10 years old. It scared the pants off me, I clung to a bible whilst watching it. I got it on DVD within a year of seeing it and there were points in my early teens that I watched it seemingly every day. I have an annual tradition of watching it on halloween night, a tradition which I've kept up for 20 years now. It'll always be my most watched movie due to those reasons, it's too far ahead of the others and given it's a guarantee that I'll watch it at least once per year no movie stands a chance to catch up to it.
Beyond the Darkness Blood and Black Lace Don’t Torture a Duckling Phenomena
Who is the top don that recommended these? I second them. Must watch movies. Viva l'Italia. 🇮🇹 House of 1000 Corpses the other week and now The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. You boys and girls are watching gold. Dog will hunt!
Wizard of Oz (1939) Haxan (1922) Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Some fine selections. I'm not the biggest silent movie fan but I watched Haxan for the first time last October and it's easily one of the best from that era. Good movie. Of course I do, horror is just my favorite genre with slashers being my favorite sub-genre, ergo those are my most watched movies of all time.
