I cannot understand Elizabeth's behavior

Why would Elizabeth stand there, looking badass, at the end of Episode I - and then get killed by the same Big Daddy that she just used?
Didn't she think the Big Daddy was dangerous? Didn't she see it attacking Booker seconds before?
Why would she stand there and not run for her life?
