There's also a LOT of filler that causes the movie to drag.
Jack Black was a poor choice. He's good in some movies, but he didn't sell in this.
The bug scene is horrific.
It's a movie you watch once or twice.
I would have loved if Peter Jackson decided to make Kong a gay gorilla and captures a man instead of a woman, and having the woman rescue the man from Kong from Skull Island. It would have made the movie more inclusive
