80s movies and sail boat races

What is it with the 80s and movies settling scores with having a sail boat race?

It was a fun option. The boat offers a fun teamwork montage and a progression that's easy to see. Plus, boats were seen as a high society sport. Summer Rental and One Crazy Summer embody the forward progression of the common man's ability to move up in society.

That Aside, the best Character for comparison is the crazy uncle. While he drives himself crazy by trying to get rich the fast way, he ends up alone and defeated while Hoops and the gang create bonds and financing by working together.

I like this movie a litte too much.

Yeah, that answer was awesome.

Another movie that has a lot of sailing in it is Hot Pursuit. It seems to be one of John's forgotten movies.
