Unrealistic (spoilers)

It seems unrealistic that Lucas always seems to have such a persistent positive attitude, even though it's true that he's lucky compared to similar characters from movies and real life.

It seems unrealistic that Lucas would have gained so much respect just by putting his health in danger by participating in football, that was clearly far above his physical level.
