Just adore this movie

I first saw this movie years ago when I was a preteen. I fell in love with it then, and I try to catch it every time it appears on TCM. Even though the film is nearly 50 years old, it holds up remarkably well. Everyone involved with this project was at the top of his/or her game! I can't recommend it highly enough!

I'm glad you like it, too.

I loved the movie so much when I first saw it (late 60's) that I read the novel in high school. And yes, the movie holds up beautifully. It's fun and fresh and hasn't faded one bit.

I watch it every time it's on TCM also. I saw it as a child when it was originally released and loved it then and still do. I have the DVD and CD. Just magical.

When it came out I was the same age as I think the girls are in the movie (14?) and I don't remember ever watching it. At the time this boy was probably not interested in screwball comedies about 14 yr old girls.

Now that I'm older - I can see the amazing portrayal of their lanky, awkward, sweetness; very precious.

I came across it channel surfing and saw just enough magic to make me turn it off til a time when I can watch the whole movie, start to finish.

I have always loved the musical score and the cinematography of 1960's New York City and the Central Park shots.

I love this movie as well

That's what I love about it - all of the outdoor scenes of New York. I live in New York and it's so different now. Seems homier then.
