God, I HATE “Young Man’s Fancy”

That episode always infuriated me, it’s my least favorite of the series. This guy, the poor sap he is, I wanted to punch in the face. Man has a wife & a life but can’t leave his mommy. He can’t let go, can’t go on. Hate people like that, it’s scary when you think about it. That’s his problem, the wife should just take off for someone who can love her. Punk ass husband she had who wasn’t even a man.

She’s free, after all nothing happened to her. Some other man will more than appreciate & hit that but this man boy is stuck in his own personal hell even though he thinks it’s heaven. Everytime he delayed leaving his house, “But this was mamas”. or “We did this” I wanted to throw a brick at his head.

Why did the b!tch even bother to get married in the first place?

It's a similar story to Static where the man didn't marry because of his aging mother (as if that should stop a wedding, but anyway).

Maybe the guy was probably a good guy, but got more weird as time went on. By the time they got married, Virginia wasn't a young woman any more, and during that time in America, a woman should be married. Maybe she held on too long and should have left earlier?

But I agree it's frustrating to watch.
