Is It Morally Unacceptable For Me To Still Enjoy Listening To Mo Money Mo Problems?

And watching the video?

It's a great 90s song. And the video is a lot of fun, what with Puffy Woods, etc...

But, now that P Diddy is going to be going away for a very long time for doing very bad things, is there any moral way I can ignore the abhorrent behaviour of this man and just watch this for the comedy / music?

Or perhaps a more morally sound individual would always have found that particular song to be unacceptable?

reply

I don’t think so, the act/s and his due judgment lie with the man, not his performances.
The album No Way Out will always have sentimental appeal for me.
The song Victory was my jam in high school.

😂 Ha ha, that's brilliant!

Used to call me fatso, now you call Castro...

Not sure how this one past me by...

It totally is.

Not because he's an abusive asshole.
But because it's total crap now as it was 30 years ago.

Well the thing is, I totally agree. I only came across Mo Money via the Biggie album.

I basically ignored P Diddy's output. But now I've heard that Victory song - which is basically more of the same - perhaps that was a mistake...

You can’t really ignore his out put because he produced all of that music. If you enjoy the beat, you are enjoying his output. He was also the first producer to talk over the songs like the mixed tape DJs used to do. So he’s always there, even if he is just saying bad boy or something.

reply

Yes because Mase is a born again Christian, and Biggie is an Angel now, so Puffys evil gets cancelled out.

Seriously though, I believe in separating the art from the artist. Enjoying his music doesn’t mean that you endorse him or any of his actions.
