Would anyone else love to see David Fincher direct a docudrama film on the Franklin expedition?

We had the admittedly mediocre first season of AMC's The Terror based on Dan Simmons' novel of the same name but I have always felt that the final voyage of Sir John Franklin and his attempt to sail through the Northwest Passage ought to be given the proper feature film treatment, and without the tuunbaq of Simmons' novel or the tv series.

Having seen all of this man's films as well as having read all that has been written about Franklin's ill fated voyage, I cannot think of a better match between director and subject. Fincher's style, the tone and atmosphere with which he imbues his stories, and the sorts of themes that seem to come out of his films--by accident or design--very much seem as though they would lend themselves to a movie on the last voyage of the HMS Erebus and HMS Terror.
