You know, like SUPERBAD and ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING. I noticed that a lot of recent films have tried to revive this sub-genre (21 & OVER; TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT; I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER).
What I want to know is which was the very first film of this kind. It must've been an '80s film, right?

For me, "whacky" has to do with the situations. SUPERBAD is about a crazy and adventurous trip where the characters get into trouble everywhere they go, and they meet a lot of not-everyday people.
