Red Screen?

Out of curiosity, if a shot or scene calls for green and blue chroma colors, would you use a red-screen if it has special fx?

Yes. That's exactly how they created the camouflage effect in Predator, by using a red suit. They couldn't use green or blue because of the jungle foliage.

red is generally avoided in effects shots (chromakey) because of the red pigemtns in skin but, like the other poster mrxxbrian said, it is used in special circumstances where no other colour would be suitable.
