'The Incredible Hulk' and 'The Avengers'

I know they cast Ed Norton in "The Incredible Hulk" to have that serve as a reboot from Ang Lee's "Hulk" starring Eric Bana. Mark Ruffalo replaced Ed Norton for "The Avengers". Is Ruffalo still playing the same version of Hulk as Norton did, though?

Yes. Unlike Hulk '03, The Incredible Hulk '08 is in the same series/continuity as The Avengers, which means Ruffalo's Banner is meant to be the same guy as Norton's. Ruffalo's Banner even mentions that the last time he was in Harlem he "broke it", which is a reference to the Hulk's fight with Emil Blonsky at the end of The Incredible Hulk.

Thanks, Miles. I must have missed that line.

Also there's a little bit of footage from TIH in the Avengers.
