Annoying meowing and yowling in cats and crazy thumping

For weeks my cat has developed a habit of yowling and meowing and running crazy though the house. When he starts this habit he starts meowing and yowling as early as 5AM and then my cat runs crazy through the house at 6AM and my parents and I can't get no sleep without my cat disturbing us. We tried searching the house to see what could cause my cat to do this habit and we found nothing. I tried to convince my parents to put my cat in our laundry room but my mother said no and we can't put him in an animal shelter because he's Mom's baby and she still wants to keep him

My cat is still doing his annoying yowling and I cannot still find the answer to what is causing this habit? I have searched my entire house for what could cause my cat to yowl so much. Another thing he does when he yowls is make trotting and galloping noises like a horse and everytime my cat does this I along with my mom can't get no sleep at all because he wakes us up. Mom and I have tried to play with him and try to make my cat take a nap in the daytime but each time we attempt to play with him he will try to growl but not bite and getting my cat to take a nap is impossible because he'll be asleep for like two minutes and then if he hears a noise such as the radio or talking my cat gets up and starts yowling again. Could it be that my cat is bored?

My cat is still doing his yowling habit and we haven't found a remedy to cure him of it and it's driving my parents and me nuts. And it's gotten to the point where we now have to lock our bedroom doors so my cat will not disturb our sleep at night. Once again we checked the entire house to see what causes my cat to yowl so much and even my mom and dad play with him he still yowls his head off and I'm afraid that if my cat yowls too much he will yowl himself hoarse. And my mom will not still put him in our laundry room and she's afraid to put my cat outside even with a cat leash for fear that he might get hit by a car or our neighbor's dogs might attack my cat and chase him. What stops yowling in cats?

Mom and I have started to lock our bedroom doors since last week to make my cat stop yowling and waking us up each night and it has worked but my cat still yowls. Another thing my cat has begun to do along with his yowling is he will sit in the middle of Mom and Dad's bed and start to smell and sniff around and then jump off the bed and yowl again. And it has gotten to the point where Mom has started to remove her comforter every morning because my cat smells it and when my cat is in my room he sits on my purse bin and yowl and smell it too and now even loud noises cause my cat to yowl too because when 4th Of July fireworks went off today it scared my cat so much that he yowled even louder. I don't know what to do to cure my cat's yowling and I wish he would quit and give my mom and me some peace and quiet
