When there are ambiguous elements in comics, whose interpretation...


... is the correct one: The author's (assuming they reveal it in an interview or something) or the reader's (they usually interpret while reading the comic, before watching/reading the author's interview)? Is it different when the comic in question has one ambiguous element and when the entire plot is ambiguous? Whatever the answers are, do they also apply to movies and shows?

Yeah, pretty much what Ex_Calibre said and even if something is completely unambiguous, people will still interpret things their own way.
