Premier League
Relegation

Hull City 1/4
Sunderland 8/11
Swansea 8/11
Burnley 4/5
West Ham 11/2
Crystal Palace 6/1
Middlesbrough 6/1
Leicester 8/1
Watford 9/1
West Brom 20/1
Bournemouth 25/1

28/1 Bar

It's tighter than a hangman's knot from thirteenth down.

13) M'BORO 15 (-2)
14) PALACE 14 (-2)
15) BURNLEY 14 (-11)
16) LEICESTER 13 (-7)
17) WEST HAM 12 (-10)
18) SUNDERLAND 11 (-14)
19) HULL 11 (-18)
20) SWANSEA 9 (-15)

West Ham have been beset by injuries and were slaughtered by Arsenal on Saturday and face a trip to Anfield this weekend. Boro scraped the goods against a woeful Hull side on Monday after impressive away draws at Arsenal, Man City and Leicester. As for Hull...

Swansea look doomed. I see no spirit. The dramatic win versus Palace being only their second of the sesaon, the worst of any PL side.

Sunderland have taken 9 points from their last 12 and Moyesy finally seems to be getting a grip on things. The Black Cats travel to Swansea on Saturday in one of the day's more compelling fixtures.

Burnley are in poor form having lost their last three. Sean Dyche was nothing but complimentary about his team's 2-0 loss to Stoke on Saturday but admits their away form has to improve (that would make sense : all but one of Burnley's 14 points have been earned at Turf Moor)

Palace thumped Saints on Sunday to end their dismal six game pointless run, and Alan "thumbs up" Pardew seemed to think that that victory has saved his ass and turned the Eagles' season around. Let's wait till Saturday when Palace travel to Hull in another important dogfight encounter. A win for Hull, pathetically poor v Boro on Monday, would see them on level points with Palace but they've yet to keep a clean sheet at home.

Leicester find themselves in 16th, two points off the zone. Does anyone at the club actually seem bothered to you? They don't to me. "We are Champions. We've already done the bizzo" sort of attitude. But with a Saturday evening trip to the Ethiad they could find themselves really embroiled in the harsh and merciless world of the Relegation Dogfight, and it's not even Xmas yet.

My relegation fancies, as things stand. Swansea, Hull, West Ham.

Imagine if West Ham went down!!

With that stadium..

Anyway I think the odds are Cheeky on palace . One almost sure measure when predicting at this point is to always look at GD as well as points. It paints a fuller picture .

Hull Burnley and Sunderland for me

Yeah, goal diff. Edited the GD stats in now.

It'll be absolutely fantastic if West Ham went down, the look on those smug bastards gold and Brady's face would be priceless.

Can't see it though as there are at least 4 worse teams who are pretty hopeless to say the least. Hull, Burnley and I think Swansea.

Ah, it would be a dream if West Ham went down.

I told everyone too last year, it is too early to call Bilic the best thing since sliced bread. As he is kind of a club legend though, the board might find it difficult to sack him, even if it becomes the right thing to do.

I'd love if they went down, love it!

reply

Might be too late for Swansea, I mean why would you hire an American to coach a premier league team? What kind of ignoramus would do that? I mean it would be like me buying the Chicago Bulls, and hiring the manager of the London Towers to take over the coaching of them. It would be ridiculous. No one is going to respect him. How is he going to win the dressing room round?

Moyes, maybe he can turn it round at Sunderland, I don't know, they have a glimmer of hope now, but I would have sacked him weeks ago and hired big Sam. In fact if I was in any of those bottom positions I'd sack my manager tomorrow and bring in Big Sam.

reply

Yep if pardew had to go (which I don't) I would have big Sam in a heart beat!

So the board at Palace clearly read our conversation. You cost a man his job, Runie.

Good spot Stan

However I know a little bird that tells me pards couldn't handle living at his house with his wife full time anymore.

You don't slate the new owners and expect to get away with it... surely

I predict he will go somewhere at least 150 miles away from the top of eoldingham golf course.....
