MST3K question

I remember reading somewhere that not all movies that the producers wanted for inclusion on the show were given the "green-light" by their respective copyright holders. Or perhaps the owners did not want Joel/Mike and "the bots" to make fun of their cinematic properties? Does anybody have a list of those particular film titles and the reasons why they weren't used?

You may try asking on the MST3K board. A lot of misties hang out there and some of them are real experts.

If that's the case, wrong move IMO. MST3K got a lot of films seen that wouldn't otherwise have been: Squirm, Manos, etc.
