Halt and Catch Fire: Yerba Buena - 8.5/10
AMC's show about Reagan-era tech entrepreneurs reflects the computers themselves; shaky at the start and becoming more fluid with each new year. The most recent episode is a highlight of its growing quality. It begins purely examining the characters and how the raising stakes in the story clash against these defined, strong personalities.
Mr. Robot: "_init_5.fve" - 7/10
The dark, grungy chic has worn thin in Season 2 of Sam Esmail's take on modern cyber warfare and Freud 101. However, episodes as solidly-plotted and genuinely-felt as this one take the viewer through the rabbit hole instead of spinning its wheels in Esmail's DVD collection. For better or worse though, Mr. Robot is still among the most cinematic TV shows.
South Park: Member Berries - 8.5/10
Leave it to Trey Parker and Matt Stone, after 19 seasons, to spotlight the leaks in our culture in precise and hilarious 20 minute increments. The election, nostalgia-sploitation, and misogynistic trolling are topics woven together in the synchronicity of great comedy writing.

Three fluffy episodes of a fluffy game show. It lacks the sophistication of 1960s era "Password" and lacks the historical interest of "What's My Line?". But since I am taking a break from those shows, this will do for the time being.
It is really a derivative of Chain Reaction (1980). Bob Stewart, the executive producer, was infamous for re-working prior concepts into new series.
IMDb does have pages for the episodes, but doesn't credit the host Kevin O'Connell with many of the episodes he appeared in. This was his only game show.

Supergirl - "Falling."
I wanted to check out what was generally considered the best episode of the season after I had watched the first 5 or so episodes and wasn't impressed, just to see if it got better. Still not very impressed. Cheesy acting from pretty much everyone (Jimmy Olsen is horribly miscast) and the special effects weren't the best. Villain of the week was horrible. I did however like the portrayal of Martian Manhunter. 5/10
Smallville - "Red."
Watched the first Red K episode of Smallville to compare it to, and it was much better. Good story + development for the characters (Clana in particular.) Tom Welling always played bad so well (Transference is one of my favorite episodes thanks to his mimicking John Glover's Lionel Luthor.) 8/10
Vice Principals - "End of the Line."
Love this show, but I definitely understand why it has its critics, but I feel like the scripts are brilliant and the characters are layered. Plus, Walton Goggins is one of my favorite actors and he kills it in this show. One of my favorite new shows of the year. 9/10.
