Beginning and Ending

Ok, all I saw was a black screen. Am I just blind or was something interesting (finally) about it?

reply

I think the beginning was suppose to adjust you to the role sound plays in the movie, I agree it went on for way too long though

Thank you! I was wondering about that black screen. That makes perfect sense.

I hope you all enjoyed this film!

I managed a whole minute of the opening credits with the black screen arty-farty shite and I was done, bye bye.

It's about sound. The opening featured the sounds of the family in the woods, and you can hear a woodpecker, which sounds like a machine gun. I thought it was very effective.

I saw it as kind of time machine via sound. But yes, it was far too long, but I have yet not used so many time machines.
