I love Garfield, but this doesn't look good

Just finished watching the trailer and none of the jokes hit for me. It really seems like the writers here don't understand what made the original Garfield cartoons work in favor of something that feels more like your typical Illumination movie. Also I don't mind Chris Pratt, but I agree that he's not a good fit from what I hear in the trailer.

I hope I'm wrong as Sony Animation has done some good work in the past, but this teaser doesn't look promising to me.

While not my preference it certainly looks better than the 2 live action ones starring Bill Murray.

At the end we might talk about different teaser/trailer.

I don't know if the movie will be good, but seeing Jon feed kitten Garfield some pizza was pretty cute! 🐈
