Season 2 - Spoilers ahead - You have been warned

Anyone here watching Season 2?

I watched the first two episodes and now the conspiracy is just a single man. Doh! Also, they are trying to make Seth a funny character, which he is not. They brought it this new character who is so annoying that I would not have hired him in the first place or fire him right now. They bombed the bad guy in his bunker where there were tunnels leading to it. Surely, any idiot would know he has scuppered from the bunker. Some of the things this show does really get on my nerves.

Not sure where this show is going quite frankly. Is it going to be West Wing (with bad writing) or conspiracy theory with stupid conspiracies.

If the bad guy is still alive after his bunker was bombed, it will be a HUGE surprise ... to absolutely no one!

reply

They already hinted that there was an escape door to that bunker; so no surprise indeed.

RobPatelli, you're SO right! A conspiracy so vast that reached so far into the government, that so many died for just ended like THAT!!? Just over a man who had a tantrum about not seeing his family!!!? Season 1 finale told us he had informations about ALL the US defense infrastructure, identity of covert agents, etc...Instead he chooses to come BACK to the States!!? ( in a REGULAR AIRPORT to boot ; where he would have been recognized LONG before that ear thing!!) and die stupidly in that bunker?!!! What happened to all the information he had? and his organisation? Besides what is he trying to achieve by exposing the first lady's mother?!! This makes no sense; This is NOWHERE close to the clever mastermind Loyd that could pull that attack off in season One!

My theory: Either they changed writers who are incompetent, OR producers made them make those changes because they didn't want to take risks. ( Loyd conspiracy sounds a lot like a right wing coup "I want my america back" style and the producers didn't want to be called "liberals" by continuing that arc, but that's just me!)

Whatever the reason, they 're choosing to make it a bland, neutral White House procedural, introducing indeed THE MOST ANNOYING CHARACTER IN TELEVISION!!? that NOBODY NEEDED THERE; and who would have been punched in the mouth from the start before getting fired!

Thanks for the responses. I thought this place was dead.

At least S1 was so absurd that it was enjoyable (like so bad is so good kind of way). S2 is just terrible.

OGAGREEH = You may be right about change of policy from the DS makers but it makes for a shIte show. If you are going for West Wing II then hire some very good writers.

reply

Agreed. Now it's not even a good "West Wing" imitation. Just a poor attempt at "Mr Kirkman goes to Washington"!

reply

It was kind of weird. The create this huge international conspiracy that kills the whole US government, and then it collapses into normalcy and they try to clone West Wing.
