I haven't see the series yet, therefore I base my review on the many picture populate here and the internet. One of the best feature from the painting of the Medici time are the brilliant color of their garment. The Medici themself orders those portrait and various painting. Let's hope it change as the series goes by

shareI have a feeling it's going to be drab black *beep* I don't know when they started doing drab clothing in a lot of these historical films/tv, but the clothing on Borgias/Borgia wasn't too exciting either. It's like they're cost reducing or think it doesn't look 'serious' enough.
But I hope it changes too.
We will see. Let's hope the costume will represent the beauty of the Florence fashion of the time
