why the hate?

Went into this, expecting the worst (given the reviews) and came out it, chuckling away.

Not of a fan of 'Deadpool' (or just swearing for swearings sake) but the swearing in this (plus some nice 'gore') harkened back to the says of 'vintage' Money Python (in it's sheer absurdity)

My particular favourite being the scouse-accented pig-monster thingy (his swearing was most likely for the 'sake of swearing') but it was just flat out bizarre (and therefore funny in my book) it was if they decided to do a 'What's Up Tiger Lilly' and re-dub some gothic blockbuster.

And despite the lack of 'Del Toro' this movie still had great visuals (and CGI) despite what it's detractors say.

Not what I was expecting (which in this day and age of studio hyperbole and spoilers, is a minor miracle) I liken this film to the 'Freddie Got Fingered' of Superhero movies (and all the better for it)

It's just boring.

I happen to like all live action Hellboy movies even though I never read the original Dark Horse comic book.

Hellboy 2019 I just watched on Netflix tonight and its pretty good.

Other people just have a major hard on for fat mexican directors and think Ron Perlman is the bomb
