Change of premise

I've just re-watched Inside Out, and I noticed something that throws a wrench into the premise for Inside Out 2, unless they ret-con it out of existence.

We've already been told that as Riley grows up, she will have new emotions to deal with in the new movie. The problem with this is that whenever they showed "headquarters" for an adult character in Inside Out (including both her mom and dad), each person had a variation of the same 5 emotions that we meet in Riley's "headquarters". If new emotions are added as a character ages, why didn't any of the adult characters have more than the same 5 emotions Riley has?

Of course, they can explain this away by saying that the other emotions in the adult character's "headquarters" were "out of the room" whenever the camera was on them. When we eventually meet Riley's new emotions, will we also find out that the adult characters also have these same emotions, but that we just didn't meet them in Inside Out?

Yeah that’s my only “beef” with it. We briefly saw inside other characters head in the previous film and short. And it always have been 5. I wonder how they're going to explain that, because it seems like a massive retcon.
