I'd say this film was

Reasonably hard core. I watched WC 1 and then this one while I was still in the mode. I watched a German film the other day which I could describe as 'German' (Das Experiment). and I guess I could describe this film as 'Australian' (as in....it doesn't hold back - struth). Hollywood blood n guts doesn't have anything on this. yes I know the Saw series, but they are intentionally gory (as in gore is their only purpose). the first half of WC1 was quite pleasant and then got unpleasant. WC 2 was fairly slashy from the start. although, some 'credit' to it, at least the guy didn't let the two cops off

most horror films you might not see a realistic looking computer generated burning guy moving around inside the car as it was....burning (you'd just see a burning car and assume the rest). or maybe you might

Sometimes you do wonder if the directors and/or writers did get some sort of sadistic pleasure from some of the scenes (I guess you could put this under 'slasher' genre? - it isn't my most watched genre so I don't know if other films are the same). WC 2 featured some standard racism towards at least two non Australian countries, so that's just....fine
