It doesn't end where I would have liked it to end but here isn't a huge cliffhanger

Nope.
It ended as the Borgias reached the peak of their power. It's a shame there wasn't a season four, as it clearly would have been about the fall of the Borgias and the complete and total destruction of everything they built.
But, imo like to stop on happy note. It was a nice ending. The final season would have been so sad. I know that's how their dynasty ended but this ending was satisfying too
