S01 incredibly consistent

As a long time fan of sketch comedy, I recently went in to S01 prepared for some great bits, some mediocre ones and a bunch of lame ones, as the usual distribution goes on the bell curve, but damnit if I wasn't utterly impressed with how much comic wheat there was to the expected chaff. Will Forte, Steve Heidecker and Fred Willard were of course welcome standouts, in fact I get a "similar but slightly less weird and risk-taking than Tim & Eric" post-comedy vibe from the show, that isn't unwelcome in the slightest. But what might be the most impressive aspect to me is how good all the straight actors are at selling the weirdness without being all winky "in on it" while not being too "I was just found wandering outside and have never acted in my life" Richard Dunn (RIP) weird, if that makes any sense.

Double-checking the runtimes, this show epitomizes "brevity is the soul of wit." Bravo, and looking forward to more.

This show shits all over tim and eric. Tim and Eric is all retarded annoying editing with almost no merit to anything. I tried Tim and eric multiple times and Dr. Steve Brule is the only good thing about it to me. I think you should leave is genius level cringe comedy like no other.

As a "t-shirt guy" who prefers to wear a shirt with a reference only a fan would get, e.g. I have a "Cutty's Gym" shirt with boxing gloves on it, rather than a shirt with "The Wire" logo/text on it, and a "Winchester Tavern" shirt instead of "Shaun of the Dead" etc., my "Pork Chop Sandwiches!" shirt in the style/font of G.I. Joe might just be my most commented on, and that makes me happy. Those videos predate Youtube iirc. Thinking maybe ebaumsworld era...? Anyway: still watch 'em and they still make me laugh.

I know exactly what you mean!! I have an Abe Froman Sausage King Of Chicago tee, a City Of Pawnee tee, and a Kobra Kai tee (from about 6 years before the TV show happened) I also have a John Bonham's face tee because I just think it's even cooler than a Zeppelin tee. I even went as far as to buy tees from Red Bubble who have some seriously obscure references tees. But I think they use low quality materials because all their shit has faded on me or torn easily.

You just reminded me about my "Better Call Saul" shirt that I got during Breaking Bad, but haven't worn since BCS came out. And I *liked* the show, but a man's got to have principles... Except where t-shirt copyrights are concerned; pretty sure I bought a few from eBay, even...

Oh, you saw Detroiters, right? I think I like it better than ITYSLwTR. It's like episode-length top-tier sketches!
