What if Superman is exposed to Kryptonite and a Yellow Sun

This question is more broad for Superman Comic Book Fans....I know Kryptonite makes superman weak and can kill him, and I know he gets his Powers due to the different environment on earth compared to Krypton (Less strong gravity, etc) and from Earths yellow sun charges him like a battery for his powers. But what if Superman had Earths Yellow Sun shining on him at the same time as being exposed to Kryptonite. Would the Kryptonite still weaken him?

In the current versions of Superman in the comics, the Kryptonite drives the solar radiation from his cells until it reaches saturation and can possibly kill him.
Ironically in the classic Superman comics, Kryptonite doesn't effect him under a Red Sun, except for one particular variety (Kryptonite X, I think?). Not sure if that still applies.
