SPOILERS ABOUT THE ENDING and some people's reactions to it.

SPOILERS...

Some viewers wrongly assumed that the main reason Beningo kills himself at the end was simply because he was too cowardly and felt embarrassed at being called out for his terrible deed involving the SPOILERS - sexual violation of a comatose woman Alicia. And one at least reviewer wrote that they "hate it when it happens". Whereas, in actuality, in this film's world...

He kills himself SPOILER - for another reason. Not out of guilt for carrying out that act (sorry, but these days especially, I feel rather uncomfortable typing the 'r word' but you get the gist, as uncomfortable as the subject overall IS though, and I am not "censoring" or "denying" anything like that but hope everyone's alright here and it is just me) and not out of unease for being "called out on it" (yeah, imagine if even a small amount of such perpetrators killed themselves because of the shame they felt for being known about it) and its related varieties but rather...

In this film's world and in his crazy mind, it was so that he could apparently be in heaven with Alicia whilst not knowing SPOILERS - that she later wakes up from that coma.

Then again. Even if he did commit suicide because of EITHER guilt ridden conscience or discomfort at him being CALLED OUT ON IT, would that also really be so terrible overall in your view and would it damage too much the film were it the case as well as be somehow insensitive to the overall issue?

And what did we all think and make of it, thanks.
