The 1st 2 Die Hard movies obviously take place around Christmas but does this movie? I mean, they start the movie off with the Lovin Spoonful's "Summer in the City" so does it feel like summer? It cant take place during the heart of summer because Zeus' nephews are in school. Then the kids robbing the candy store say to McClane "look around man, it's like Christmas all the cops are into something". Thoughts?
shareIt's definitely not Christmas, I think it's early autumn. But they obviously wanted to reference the first two movies so they put quite a few Christmas references in. They mention Santa Claus at least twice and someone is humming "Deck the Halls".

The best Christmas movies are the first 2 Die Hards as well as the Peter Jackson version of King Kong because of the ice scene in Central Park. A notable mention can also be The World is not Enough because of the scientists name
