Real gem of a movie.

I think this movie is wonderful and had such strong characters and actors. Its so much fun, has wonderful pacing and manages to have a great ending to boot.

I really think it's an underrated gem.

Thank you for using "GEM" for this one. I am 100 percent with you.

It´s a film I can watch over and over again.. Never gets old, always fun to watch. It´s so well made..

It´s part of my small collection of "the best". Feel bad.. how about to watch something nice, well, Maverick, perhaps?

Personally I think it´s probably one of the best films both Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson ever made. Can´t say the best since I didn´t see all of their films, but this one is just so enjoyable no matter how many times I have seen it. That´s a proof it´s good. Some films are shockingly interesting but you never get back to it.

There are no blank moments, the humour is subtle, never American-like "now it´s a punchline -laugh!" moment, Jodie is - what did he say? -irresistible, Mel Gibson is just right here, Alfred Molina as the thick-ish desperado, the whole cast is a joy. The music and the feel of the romanticized west, not a second wasted. Surely there are parts I am not "crazy about" but they just fall in the place so nicely that you just love the whole film as it is.

The other day I watched Valmont after many years again and read the dispute on the pros and cons of Valmont and Dangerous L. The thing about Valmont is the same as here, its extremely well made, every second enjoyable and it delivers. Different kind of a film but a masterpiece. You can just watch it again and again.

It's one of my favorite westerns, though it doesn't seem to get much attention.

Just rewatched it and yeah, it holds up very well. I think it's refreshing that the movie is aiming just to be light escapist entertainment than trying to be the next 'Unforgiven' or something like that.
