I’ve seen Jurassic park at least a hundred times and just noticed….

That Tim is dressed almost identically to Alan. Blue collared shirt, khaki pants, well khaki shorts, but with a belt, just like Alan, and, most importantly, instead of a red bandana around his neck, Tim is wearing a blue one. Tim is clearly meant to be a reflection of a young Alan Grant, intelligent, nerdy yet cool, and obsessed with Dinosaurs. They even look similar, tan with brown hair.
Am I just unbelievably dense, did you all pick up on this? How did I miss it?!?
