Surprised to read that. I always heard they got on well with each other in this film, so much so that they made another film called "Driven" in the 2000s (which sucked).

Stallone's career took a hit after the 80s ended. He went from being one of the biggest movie stars to being in a lot of turkeys. To get to the top again, he needed to do films like Cliffhanger where he'd work with a new director (he usually directed his own films or "ghost" directed them ie hired a yes man and told him what to do).

If they fell out, it's likely because Stallone was used to calling the shots and thought he could do better than Harlin. Harlin is a very talented director but his films can be a bit too cold at times.

All of this is addressed in the interview, did you watch it?

reply

Kinda but I've been a stallone fan since birth so I know all this stuff but thanks for posting it anyway, harlin's impressions of sly are gold.

You’re an idiot. You’re responding when you didn’t even read or watch the interview. He clearly addressed that they got on fine during the film. It years later after Driven was made that it went south

Another idiot who bases their opinion on just reading headlines or captions
