Fun fact: the elderly couple who got in the cab while Tokka and Rahzar destroyed the city, are the director's parents.

Director Michael Pressman gave them the best lines.

Mike's dad: [in frantic voice] Honey, look... those animals [referring to Tokka and Rahzar] are knocking down the telephone poles! What do we do if they come over here?
Mike's mother: [nonchalantly] Let them get their own cab.
