The actress who played Kim as a grandmother sounded suspiciously like Winona Ryder doing an elderly voice impersonation.
Did Winona dub the voice? Or did Winona play the grandmother and they slathered her in makeup? Or did the actress just sound like Winona?

Holy crap! I did not know that! I always thought that that woman bared a resemblance to Ryder and thought that the film makers were lucky to find someone who kind of looked like her. But I had no idea that Winona herself actually played her. If so, why the hell did the Academy not nominate this film for Best Make up? It sure fooled me! And I've been watching this film for 10 years!
