Literally what I thought of when I read the topic. I said, "He turned that into 'Black Rain'!" Underrated(Atleast not as well known) a bit too. I thought it was a solid addition to the genre by SRS. Donner had the needed "Lighter Side" to balance out the Lethal Weapon films though. The humor makes even 3 and 4 decent enough to watch regularly.
