FINALLY FOUND A DVD COPY OF DRAGNET...AND BOY AM I STOKED TO BE WAYCHING THIS FLICK ON DISC...I LOVED IT WHEN I WAS A KID AND I LOVE IT NOW...AYKROYD AND HANKS SHOULD HAVE WORKED TOGETHER MORE,THEY ARE A GREAT TEAM.

sharePRETTY RARE,OOP DVD....GOES FOR ABOUT 20 BUCKS,USED....I PREFER TO HUNT MY MEDIA IN THE WILD FOR CHEAP,SO IT HAS TAKEN ME SOME YEARS TO FIND A COPY...I WILL DEFINITELY BE SHOWING IT TO MY DAUGHTER NOW THAT I HAVE IT.

shareI saw it again after a couple of decades, on one of those low-budget cable channels that shows nothing but odd movies and commercials for lawyers. It was fun, really fun! Silly plot to be sure, but Ackroyd and Hanks made it all hilarious and totally enjoyable. I don't know if I'd call it a gem, maybe more like a piece of costume jewelry, but the sort of costume jewelry that looks good and draws compliments.
It's youtube and google play, but not for free.
Great comedy, much better actors than you usually get in movies like this.
