Legend Review
By Time Out (London)

And lo, it came to pass the enchanted forest was filled up to here will all manner of backlighting and slow motion starburst filters until it looked like unto a commercial for Timotei shampoo.

And behold the sappy princess Lili, who is out slumming with the peasants and the forest folk and whoops she has plunged the land into eternal darkness at minus 50 degrees centigrade. Lo, lots of snow.

And who is the geek with tons of make up plastered all over his mug? Lo, verily it is Tim Curry as the megalomaniac Lord of Darkness, who is threatening to do in the last horse with a horn stuck on its head, unless Jack o' the Green and a petulant Tinkerbell type who thpeaks with a lithp can get there first.

And lo this was the culmination of four years of research and preparation. And it was not good.

Was this the entire review?

Indeed it was!

It's a review from back when the film originally came out and they were pushed for print space back in the day. I think everything had to be limited to 250 words back then.

Having said that - I just came across the review in some notes I had - and its a review that I always enjoyed greatly. I didn't write it, but I really wish I did!
