Love this movie. ONE flaw nearly does it in, though.

I love this film. The relationship between Emma and Aurora is the best and most real portrayal of an intense mother/daughter dynamic I've ever seen. The Nicholson is at his Jack best. The screenplay is brilliant in how it economically fits 32 years into two hours of screentime.

The problem? THE MUSIC! I really don't mind the score itself. It's how frequently certain part of it repeat and how LOUD it is. It seems we hear the same thing every five minutes. It really take you out of it, and makes a fine, classy movie seem like pure cheese.

I wish James L. Brooks could go back a la George Lucas and correct that.
