im not sure if i want to see it. i loved the first and fear this mihgt ruin it, will it??
shareits surprisingly not half bad. it does a good job of respecting the first movie. It doesn't pretend like its gonna win an oscar and go on to be a classic. I say give it a shot, at the very least it certainly shouldnt ruin your perception of the original. If anything they just flesh out their backstory a little bit. Tom Berenger and the other guy (William Katt) do a pretty good job, they may not be Redford or Newman, but seriously this really isn't half bad, in fact its downright entertaining on its own merits. (of course it helps that you prob wouldn't be watching it unless you already had a love of the first one!) i say if your curious, do the check it out thing and rent it.

I got suckered into watching this the other day when the TV guide had the show mis-marked. I had set my DVR to record Idiocracy but it seems it recorded this movie instead (though the description said it was Idiocracy), and I ended up watching it from start to finish. Not a bad movie at all, not great, but not bad.
I agree it's not bad, because actually Butch and Sundance didn't hook up until the 1890's and they were much older then.

It's quite good, actually. Berenger is charming and very Newman-like. Katt is remarkably reminiscent of Redford, with the advantage that he can act.
