The trouble is that there are honestly no more ladies of this quality in Hollywood. One might have to do with George Clooney or Brad Pitt in drag(LOL). It's a great classic so why remake it, produce something original instead? In these miserable days of so-called 'political correctness' scriptwriters would have removed many of the present pithy remarks of John Wayne as he would now be considered as 'anti-feministic". Yes, it has a similarity in situation with the better known work 'The African Queen'; a grouchy past-best-sell-date man with an entirely put-on distaste for women is stuck with one throughout the movie anyway and the couple reveal their great admiration, if no love, for each other by the end of both tales. Otherwise the resemblance to 'The African Queen' is mostly quite different, unless some nit picker remarks on Miss Hepburn's loss through violence of a screen pastor father or elderly brother earlier in both movies.
