Lighting Sucks
Man... I'm having problems getting through it because the lighting is so awful... what the crap!
shareI wonder if it might be just a bad print or transfer, as I've yet to see any home video version that does this film justice. (I've seen at least two different cuts of the film on DVD, each with different bits of nudity than the other.) I remember seeing this as the second half of a double bill at the drive-in in the early Eighties, and it looked pretty decent. Still needs a deluxe DVD, which could include the alternate versions of some scenes as a bonus feature. (Some footage was shot two ways, clothed and unclothed.)
shareBear in mind that the village is supposed to be very dark. In one of the final scenes we get the explanation that the vampires were out at daytime because due to the location there was no direct sunlight.
