I can't stand any of the music in this film

When I watch this, every time I start to enjoy the movie, one of the awful songs starts in, be it Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head, or the terrible 'bah badababada badaba dah dah'

It just ruins the whole experience. This could have been a great western, but there's no way I see this as an 8/10 as it currently sits on IMDB. The music makes it feel like it's not a western. The actors have these moments of drama constantly interrupted by clown tunes.

That goofy dubbah-dubbah-dah type music seemed to be pretty big in 1969. a similar "song" appeared, and was equally grating and out of place in the 1969 WW2 movie, Castle Keep.

I'm not for alteration of old movies (colorization, cropping, etc.), but it would be interesting to try this movie with a different score, just to see how it would be. Back in '69 that stupid "Raindrops" song was a huge hit, and my mom played the 45 rpm record--a lot. Drove me nuts.
