This is before the 70's when filmmakers took their films to the streets. I assume that it was made in the studios, or in the Los Angeles area. I am not sure where you could find this info, maybe check out a Cary Grant biography.

Hey, look man, I didn't mean to shoot the son of a bitch. The gun went off. I don't know why.

Actually, this film was shot on location in Jamaica. I found this out by following the link that is in the thread called "the girls". The link is an interview with Stephanie Berrington McNutt, who played the role of Elizabeth in the movie, the oldest girl that has a thing for Mr. Eckland. Anyway, thanks to parker57 for posting it, here it is again if you want to read it. http://www.carygrant.net/fg%20interview.html

I didn't watch this movie, only caught a few minutes of it, but I was sure it was filmed on the same lot as Gilligan's Island, which is what I was coming to check out.

Thanks for the info.

I'm not sure how anyone could confuse the lagoon in this film with the "lagoon" in "Gilligan's Island," which was in fact a flooded parking lot drained between seasons. There was some actual location shooting for the pilot in Hawaii; anytime you saw a real beach on "Gilligan's Island" during the first season through the final appearance of the "S.S. Minnow" beached before it became "unglued." For the rest of its run, "Gilligan's Island" was filmed on a back lot with plastic trees and flowers and the "lagoon" was actually a pit which was drained between seasons to double as a parking lot.

Only part of it was filmed in Jamaica. In fact, I think actors and crew spent more time filming at the studio in L.A. than in Jamaica.
