Better than My Fair Lady?

I feel the same way.

I quite like my fair lady, though I really like the film of Pygmalion with Leslie Howard better. Rex Harrison was too old for Higgins, and audrey hepburn was dubbed. the film of gigi is also quite fun, but neither film is among my favourites.

I dislike the movie version of MFL. It's stagy and static, with artificial looking exteriors. Who films exuberant dance numbers in close up? MFL needed Vicente Minnelli's sense of style.
