availability of 'Ace in the Hole'

I need help. I've heard a lot about this film and would very much like to see it, but have no idea where to find it. I have been informed that it is not available on DVD or VHS but that it sometimes appears on American Movie Classics. However, living in Canada I do not have access to this station. If anybody out there has taped this picture, I would be more than happy to pay for a copy or trade it for a picture from my collection. Thanks for your attention.

I am also very interested in getting a copy of this film. It is not available in any video format so one must wait until it is aired on either American Movie Classics or Turner Classic Movies and have the VCR ready.
This is a truly neglected masterpiece from the master of cynical cinema, Billy Wilder. Don't miss it.

Did you manage to get a DVD that will play in the UK if so, can I get a copy of it from you? I saw it when I was a child and loved it and would love to see it again.

I realize this was posted several months ago, but I am VERY interested in getting a decent copy as I've never had the pleasure of seeing it!

I just saw this on Finnish TV (YLE 2) and was pretty pissed off at myself for not recording it. And now I find out there isn't a DVD release of this masterpiece.

By the way, when you search Google on '"ace in the hole" +dvd' you get a lot of results. All about some porn flick. The one time I wouldn't be so interested in porn...

for what it is worth. the american cinemateque(sp?) in los angeles is having a mini-retrospective of Wilder's more popular films and they are showing Ace in the HOle. I'll be there.
