Mark your calender. TCM is showing Ace in the Hole, aka The Big Carnival, on Wednesday, January 24th.

I've been wanting to see Ace in the Hole for a very long time. The Heroes of Telemark, Detective Story, Lonely Are the Brave, and Town Without Pity are also airing that night. It seems to be an evening of rare Kirk Douglas films. Though I do have Detective Story on DVD, I just may catch it on TCM that night. It's a great film.

did anyone here see it? i did and i am extremely impressed! what an amazing witty and clever satire on media. it is amazing how well it holds up despite being over 50 years old. and cary grant aside, kirk douglas had the great chin clef it film history
