What about Bogie and Bacall?

Laurel was an actress. She had done a few low-budget films. Bacall hadn't done anything before To Have and Have Not, either, so she was about the same level of "Hollywood" that Laurel was.

My mom married her first husband in 1946 when she was 19 and he was 37. This was not uncommon.

i read plenty of history. i was talking the post war period where women started to get power and married who they wanted. women like my mother and all her friend who married young men their own ages.
