Music with the line 'I was born when she kissed me...'

I recall hearing the line "I was born when she kissed me, I died when she left me, I lived for a few weeks while she loved me." In a song somewhere.
The line was read by Bogart with smooth background music just like in the movie Any one knows what song I'm talking about??

This movie's lines have been paid homage to in many songs. Here are a few possibilities:

-Chances are it was the Smithereens song "In a Lonely Place." I haven't heard the song all the way through but it's clearly an homage to the film's signature lines.

-The same song was covered by Bush and New Order.

-The song "While She Loved Me" by Rascal Flatts song is an homage to the same lines.

Could you give more of a description of the song? What genre it was, male or female singer, etc.?

I was born when she kissed me
I died when she left me
I lived a few weeks while she loved me

Although it doesn't contain the precise words that you mention, I think I know the song that you mean. It's 'In A Lonely Place' by the Smithereens; a 1986 song that quotes the film, notably Gloria Grahame's line "Yesterday it would have mattered; Now today, it doesn't mean a thing." I've included a snatch of the lyric below:-

"I was born the day I met you,
Lived a while when you loved me,
Died a little when we broke apart,
Yesterday it would have mattered,
Now today, it doesn't mean a thing."

I live for a sigh!
I die for a kiss!
I lust for a laugh!
I never walk when I can leap!
I never flee when I can fight!
