AHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh

SPOILER ALERT. Don't read further if you didn't already see the film.

That was the worst fall in a film that I've ever seen or heard.

I can't believe this is a Hitchcock film. It all seemed so amateurish.

He's actually saying "Kane"...as in Barry Kane the guy he's looking at as he drops to his death. The fall was done with the actor sitting in a chair and the camera pulling away from him (or vice-versa)Not amateurish if you consider the times and the war-time budget.

I remember seeing an interview with Norman Lloyd (Fry) and he talked about the filming of this scene. (He was sitting in a chair as the camera pulled upwards). He said he imagined how someone would fall off of a building and knew it wouldn't look realistic but tried his best. And then he giggled.

One of the most legendary fall scenes in the history of cinema "amateurish"? Yeah right, sure, whatever.

It's CINEMA. Not real life. And it was made over 70 years ago with equipment far less handy then the ones they have today.

Thank you!

I have a fear of heights and the entire Statue of Liberty segment gave me intense discomfort. I thought it was done EXTREMELY well, especially for being filmed in 1942. People today, kids mostly are so used to computer generated fakery they wouldn't know art if it slapped them in the face.
